G-Dragon reveals details on Big Bang’s comeback album

Big Bang’s leader, G-Dragon, dropped additional details about the group’s first album in nearly two years and three months, and asked fans to anticipate great changes as well as variety in their work.
In a recent interview with Star News, he revealed that all of their songs were done recording and that the album was in its finalization stages. The singer continued:
“The members of Big Bang have been working on the album very consistently.  The overall style of the album is geared towards being public friendly with comfortable music that literally anyone can follow along to.”
I think Big Bang will be able to achieve great things this year due to some of the big changes that have been going on.  It’s not only the Big Bang members themselves who have changed – the internal composing staff we’ve been working with has also been completely switched up. Consequently, there will be a lot more collaborations with foreign composers.
But one of the foreign composers isn’t Will.I.Am, who’s currently working with 2NE1 for their U.S. advancement. They’re musicians beyond what anyone’s guess right now. You’ll all be surprised once you listen later, so please look forward to a lot more variety to Big Bang’s image.
As revealed earlier, the group’s comeback album will not feature any solo or duet tracks, and consists of songs with all five members.  The album is scheduled for release on February 24th.

MBLAQ’s “Oh Yeah” plagiarized by Ecuadorian artist, Andrea Bucaram

A performance video from Ecuadorian artist Andrea Bucaram has recently become a hot issue, due to the striking similarities between her song, “Oh Yeah“, and MBLAQ’s debut song (of the same name).
The repetition of the words “Oh yeah” in the chorus, the tweaked melody, and the familiar beats all point to the conclusion that this artist plagiarized the song from MBLAQ. If those points weren’t enough for skeptics, she also titled the song, “Oh Yeah”.

Andrea Bucaram
MBLAQ’s manager June tweeted a link to the video while stating “…this isn’t even plagiarism….they straight up copied the song. We will deal with this after we are sure about the situation. If anyone knows information about the singer in the video, give us a mention/message.”
Member G.O retweeted the link, and couldn’t conceal how flabbergasted the video made him. “wow….she copied the song really well.”

Hyun Bin gobbling up CF deals despite impending military duty

The power of Hyun Bin is being proven through advertising contracts. The actor famous for his role inSBS’s “Secret Garden” is currently the hottest star and is featured in advertisements for clothing, beverages, alcoholic beverages, and more, proudly taking the title as the “CF King”.
Excluding brands he was previously involved with, Hyun Bin has signed on with five more CF contracts after the shooting of “Secret Garden”. Although the contracts are yet to be signed, there are about four to five more CF’s currently in the works that are finalizing ad concepts and scheduling times.
There is a direct and definite correlation between a star’s popularity and amount of CF’s. However, the previous notion of not using actors who are soon leaving to serve in the army has been banished in the case of Hyun Bin, making this more unusual. No matter how popular, the star’s absence during the fixed term causes inconvenient problems for companies. Thus, the farthest that most companies will usually go is to extend their existing contracts, but the tables have turned for Hyun Bin.
Despite the well-known fact that he will leave to serve in a month, companies are willing to sign Hyun Bin with unprecedented pay in order to raise their brand awareness. One advertising agency official said,“Due to the time limit, 6-month long, single contracts ranging from 350 million won to 500 million won are usually the best offers.”
Companies who usually don’t use Korean celebrities, such as K2, signed Hyun Bin for a 6-month long exclusive contract. A K2 official said, “Hyun Bin voluntarily choosing the Marine Corps gave him a strong image. On top of that, he became a fashion icon with a sophisticated look due to the drama, all of which were highly valued”, explaining the reasoning behind the contract decision.
Thus, when calculating the rising shares of Hyun Bin’s worth with the current advertising contracts, they total up to more than 4 billion Korean won. When adding his current contracts, it becomes a formula of “4 billion won + α”.
In a December study by the Korea Institute for Strategic Studies for Commercial Message for “Good Impressions on TV Commercial Messages“, Hyun Bin went from 23rd to 10th place, directly showing the implications of his rising popularity.
An official from Hyun Bin’s agency, AM Entertainment, said, “Besides extending existing contracts, the love calls are pouring in. However, there are many details to be sorted out before he leaves for service. We will carefully choose and consider the CFs that are most compatible with his image.”

Jo Kwon and Park Jung Min have a Kkab dance battle!

On this week’s episode of Strong Heart2AM’s very own Jo Kwon and SS501’s Park Jung Min had a kkab dance battle.
Jo Kwon revealed pictures of his top three best moments of kkab and proved to the audience why he is called “Kkab-kwon”. He showed off his “three levels of kkab dance”, ending it with his trademark vibration dance. After watching Jo Kwon dance, the MCs stated that Park Jung Min had also shown off his kkab dance on an earlier episode and he began to show off his “sexy kkab” by performing a series of waves and pelvic thrusts, causing the audience to erupt in squeals and screams.
Afterwards, the two had a couple kkab dance, making the fellow celebrity guest members explode into laughter and amazement. It was during the couple dance that Park Jung Min revealed his trump card: his butt dance, but his effort proved to be futile as Jo Kwon’s kkab ferocity overpowered Park Jung Min.
As Jo Kwon was crowned the winner, Park Jung Min stated that “while we were dancing, we made eye contact and I could tell that he had the eyes of a kkab god!”, drawing laughter from the studio.
