Hanbok-clad stars' Lunar New Year greetings

A number of well-known Korean artists celebrated the Lunar New Year by releasing fan greetings along with pictures of themselves wearing the traditional Korean hanbok. This practice of releasing formal greetings while wearing the much-respected hanbok during key holidays is a common sight that brings smiles among fans. Let some of Korea’s popular stars delight you with their New Year greetings!


Big Bang’s Seungri


Big Bang’s maknae Seungri released a photo of himself wearing the hanbok in a very hip way. He also posted a message saying “My VIP fans, I hope that you all have a wonderful Lunar New Year and are blessed in the New year.” He also reminded his fans to watch him during the New Year television shows and to buy his album to give to family members as gifts.








Dream High’s Kim Soo Hyun



With the success of his musical television drama Dream High, actor Kim Soo Hyun released his official greeting through his management company KeyEast. Along with the photo, he left a message saying “Hello. I hope you spend a meaningful Lunar Year with your loving family and friends. I also hope you receive a lot of luck during this Year of the Rabbit.”

The six members of idol group B2ST greeted and thanked their fans for their support. They also expressed how most of them will spend the Lunar New Year—with their families!
