JYJ’s Jaejoong beating Justin Bieber for “Best Celebrity on Twitter” at Shorty Awards

The Shorty Awards, the Twitter equivalent to television’s Golden Globes or Hollywood’s Oscars, is an annual competition to recognize “the best people and organizations on Twitter and social media.”  But when the Shorty Awards organizers put together this year’s 3rd annual competition, they probably weren’t expecting such outright dominance by Korean celebrities.
As further evidence (as if we needed any) of K-pop’s global reach, K-pop celebrities are dominating the leaderboard for “Best Celebrity on Twitter“, with JYJ’s Jaejoong (@mjjeje) and Super Junior’sHeechul (@heedictator) taking 1st and 3rd place, respectively.  Tween sensation Justin Bieber is ranked 2nd, Jay Park 5th (just beating Selena Gomez, who’s currently 6th), and fellow JYJ membersYoochun and Junsu bringing up the rear at 13th and 14th.

Jay Park talks about upcoming album and ripping… 3005 shirts?

Jay Park’s witty answers on a questionnaire for curious fans has just been released. On the 26th,Sidus HQ uploaded on their official Me2day site a statement of a Q&A session with Jay Park.
Through Me2day, Sidus HQ had asked fans what they wondered the most about Jay Park.  Using the popular questions that the fans wanted to know, Sidus HQ created a questionnaire for Jay Park.
One of the questions a fan asked was, “To Jay Park, innocent glamour means…?” (Innocent glamour means a person who has an innocent baby face but a glamorous body, slightly alluding to Jay’s young face but muscular body.)
In response, Jay Park answered, “Lately I like bagel guy better,” (Originally ‘bagel girl,’ this also means a baby face with a glamorous body – changing the word from ‘bagel girl’ to ‘bagel guy.’)
One fan asked, “What do you think of the nickname ‘President Park’ that the fans created for you?” Jay answered, “I like it but I feel slightly burdened with it. It feels as though I have to create a company.”
Another fan asked about Jay’s pet dog, Peatry. When asked Does Peatry only understand English?”Jay answered “He only knows Korean. Peatry needs to study English,” which made his fans laugh.
Also, one fan asked “So far, how many shirts have you ripped?” Jay answered “Three thousand five (3005).” When asked, “Show your love towards your fans as hearts” Jay again replied “Three thousand five (3005)” leaving the fans to wonder if the number 3005 has something to do with his next album.
Additionally, Jay Park revealed that he will finish his album by the end of January for his fans in Korea.
