Hyun Bin hosts his final fan signing before his military leave

Cosmetics company Laneige Homme reached a staggering sales mark of 200 million, and to celebrate, they held a fan signing event with their image model Hyun Bin at the Lotte Department Store on January 22nd.

The occasion was particularly exciting, as it marked the “Secret Garden” actor’s final public event before he leaves for his mandatory military service.

The drama has surpassed beyond simple ‘fame’ and is now nationwide syndrome. Consequently, fans gathered the day before the event to stand in line, and the mall quickly became overcrowded. According to one mall official, out of all of the fan signing events that have taken place at this venue, this one surpassed them all.

Grateful for the fans’ interest, Hyun Bin gave out autographs and shook hands with everyone tirelessly. Even after the event ended, the actor continued to wave to his fans and bowed as he left.

Secret’s Hyosung supports G.NA’s comeback

Secret’s Hyosung and G.NA are apparently BFFs, as Hyosung recently uploaded photos of the two together.

She posted, “Inkigayo! We’re using the same waiting room as G.NA! She’s making a comeback. Kekeke Hwaiting!”

G.NA also mentioned Hyosung on her Twitter a few days ago, posting, “I’m in the waiting room with baby Hyosung. I’m so happy we’re doing our activities together. I love you!”

Fans commented, “You two look good getting along” and “Cute and lovable girl-girl couple.”

“Sungkyunkwan Scandal” voted as #1 drama people want a sequel for

Despite the immense popularity of SBS’s “Secret Garden” this year, KBS’s “Sungkyunkwan Scandal“ was chosen to be the number one drama people hoped to see a sequel for.

From January 18th to the 25th, community portal site DC Inside held a poll asking the question,“Please release a season 2, the anticipation has made me dizzy. What is the drama you would like to see a season 2 of?”

The results of the survey showed that “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” took 1st place with 25.9% of the votes. As expected, the romantic comedy drama “Secret Garden” followed closely behind with 23.2%.

Meanwhile, other dramas that also made the list include MBC’s “Beethoven Virus“, SBS’s “You’re Beautiful“, KBS’s “Chuno“, and MBC’s “New Heart“.

Yoon Si Yoon and Nam Bora to re-enact Secret Garden’s famous sit-up scene

Yoon Si Yoon and Nam Bora will be re-enacting the famous ’sit-up’ scene from SBS’s hit drama, “Secret Garden“!

The two will be parodying the roles of ‘Ra-Im’ and ‘Juwon’ respectively for the January 28th broadcast oftvN’s drama, “Once Upon A Time In Sangchori.”

Yoon Si Yoon will be playing the role of CEO Park Gyu’s son, who briefly makes a visit to Korea.   His father offers to buy him a sports car if he goes down to Sangchori and brings back his sister.  While there, he sees Nam Bora, who plays the role of ‘Nayoung,’ and immediately falls in love.

By parodying “Secret Garden,” he follows her around by copying ‘Juwon-style’ tactics in an effort to earn her heart.  While chasing her up a hill, he pretends to fall and grabs his ankle.  Nayoung asks for him to get up until he claims, “You’re going to regret this, are you sure?“  He then lifts himself up and holds his face close to hers, in exact replica of the ’sit-up scene’ out of “Secret Garden.”

The two already have experience working together from “Death Bell 2,” bringing out further anticipation from fans of the series.

Producers commented, “Thanks to Yoon Si Yoon making a special performance, the film set was full of energy.  We hope that their parody of ‘Secret Garden’ will provide joy to our viewers.”

The episode will air at 10 PM KST on January 28th through cable channel tvN.

[Spoiler: Secret Garden] Hyun Bin talks about the ending and his favorite lines

Actor Hyun Bin appeared on the January 25th episode of SBS’s “Good Morning“, and talked about his role in the hit drama series, “Secret Garden.”

The actor began by expressing his opinion on the ending by stating, “I felt it was the most suitable ending for the drama.”

When asked whether his hand falling to the floor meant that he lost his memory, Hyun Bin replied,“Hmm… Wouldn’t it be different for every person who saw it? I’d rather just leave it open for the people watching it. I actually really liked that scene. If ‘Ra-Im’ and ‘Ju Won’ saw each other right then, the entire drama would be turned over.”

He continued, “I wonder what would have happened if ‘Ra-Im’ opened her eyes.. Everything would have changed.”

When asked about his favorite line, he replied, “‘Is this the best?  Are you sure?’  A lot of the lines are actually created from conversations between the actors and the set staff.”

Hyun Bin continued, “I felt that the drama was truly being loved when I saw articles of people parodying the Italian tracksuit and copying the ‘foam kiss.‘”

Even dogs are avid fans of “Secret Garden“!

On January 25th, miss A’s Fei uploaded a ridiculously cute photo of JYPE’s chereographer,Hwayoung’s dog on her Twitter. The puppy is seen wearing the infamous tracksuit that Hyun Bin’s character wore for “Secret Garden.”

Fei wrote, “Mi kyang ah!!! You watch ‘Secret Garden’ too? I guess you really like Hyun Bin oppa! You’re wearing his clothes too!!! lol So cute.”
