Popular Korean idol group Super Junior held "Super Show 3," its first marquee concert in Singapore, entertaining more than 20,000 fans who braved howling winds and pouring rain to pack the halls of Singapore's Indoor Stadium, the country's largest indoor concert venue.
The ten members of Super Junior - Leeteuk, Heechul, Siwon, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Ryeowook, Sungmin, Shindong, Yesung, and Kyuhyun - kept their screaming fans in a frenzy for more than three hours, performing more than twenty songs from a career that has spanned almost half a decade. In addition to hits as a combined unit, including "Sorry Sorry," "Wonder Boy," and "Bonamana," the Korean idol group also performed songs from its popular sub-units Super Junior Happy ("Cooking Cooking"), and Super Junior-T ("Rokuko"). The concert also had solo stages that spotlighted the performing skills of each SuJu member.
Like its previous two "Super Shows," "Super Show 3" boasted of spectacular technical and audio wizardry. From the giant LED screen to several mini-videos, the Super Junior concert certainly was an affair to remember. Save for a minor incident where a light stick thrown by an audience member hit Super Junior member Yesung in the face, Super Show 3 went glitch-free.
Super Junior is slated to hold the Manila leg of "Super Show 3" on February 26. Filipino ELFs - the name bestowed upon Super Junior fans - can expect a similar showcase in the Araneta Coliseum concert.
